Useful Apps You Should Have on Your Smart Phones

In this time, technology is a big help in making our lives easier. Our smart phones can serve as a calendar, an alarm, a GPS tracker or use to take down notes. There are apps for just about everything which can help us finish our tasks a lot faster and easier. Aside from Facebook/ Pages, Instagram and other social media apps I use for online work, these are my favorite apps I make sure to have installed in my phone as I find them convenient for my day to day errands.

Useful Apps You Should Have on Your Smart Phones

Mobile Banking Apps

BPI/ BDO.  This is a must have app. You can easily pay bills, move funds from your accounts and transfer funds to anyone, even without enrollment.

Ride Hailing Apps

Grab (and/or Uber, when we still have it here in Manila). While we do not use this app often, this is quite handy. It is useful when booking a ride late at night. It is also useful when you are traveling in another country when you need to get a ride. We also use the delivery services for items/ parcels and even for food.

Electronic Wallets/ Payment Apps

PayMaya. We use PayMaya for transactions such as buying pre-paid loads, as it is much cheaper. We also like to use this app when paying bills and purchases as it offers rebate.

Maps

Ulmon Maps. We downloaded this map for travel purposes. You can download a specific map of a city or a country and access it offline.

Camera/ Scanner/ Printer Apps

Brother Print and Scan. When you are a Brother Printer user, this is a handy app. No need to connect to a laptop when you need to scan or print. Once your phone is paired with printer, scanning and printing is just a click away.

Fuji App. When you are using a fuji camera, you can use this app as a remote and also for the wireless transfer of photo from the camera to your smart phone. This is very helpful wen traveling as you no longer need to connect to the laptop to download photos and you can easily access them using your phone.

Workout/ Fitness Apps

NTC/ NRC. I use these apps for home workouts and/or when I’m out for a run. It has set exercises, a training plan and audio guides to make working out easier.

7 minute and Sworkit Kids. These are good apps for quick and easy exercises for kids.

FitBit. Everyone a home uses a fitbit watch and we access this to sync our activities.

There are many other mobile apps that are useful but I do not use them that often. This includes Grocery Shopping, Food Delivery, and Online Shopping. I just download them as needed or use the laptop for these services.
