Gab Teaches You How to Make a Choco Fudge Float

Gab has a to-do list everyday to remind him of what he needs to do from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed. He gets a sticker from daddy the next day when he completes everything in his checklist. The list gets him excited and he always remind us to make him one for the day.

Toddler To Do List

Last week, one of the item on the list was to “Make a Choco Fudge Float”.  We prepared simple instructions for him to read and follow using the following ingredients:

1. Magnolia Chocolait | 2. Ice | 3. Fudge Brownies | 4. Mallows  | 5. Magnolia Best of the Philippines Ice Cream | 6. Choco Syrup  | 7. Cherry

The Rehearsal

Gab knows how to read and loves reading almost anything including food labels so giving instructions was easy. We asked him to read the steps one by one so he will be familiar with his lines. We rehearse on what we should do for the actual video.

We recorded his voice and here’s how the voice recording went.

Take 1: Starting slow. He was a little conscious of us  recording. Practice makes perfect but of course we have our bloopers.

Take 2: The faster the funnier. He wants to read everything fast and he’s having fun that he can do it!

Take 3: Finally, just perfect! Take note of his favorite ingredients: BYownies, Ice CYeam, See-Yup, and Che-Yee 🙂

The Final Video

Now, it’s time to do the actual drink. Directing and video recording a 3-year old is a challenge. He likes to do things on his own pace: counting all the ice cubes, dropping the fudge one by one, and we even have the marshmallow test moments! For some reasons, we have technical difficulties in including the audio records of the steps but we managed to get a good video shots. Thanks to daddy’s swell video editing skills.

Watch our 3-year old, Chef Gab, as he teaches you on how easy and fun it is to make your own Choco Fudge Float.  Warning: due to cuteness overload, you might see your self playing the video over and over and over again!

Without further ado, here’s the final video.  Drum roll, please…

This is a fun bonding activity. It will teach them to read and follow instructions. Even if it’s not summer anymore, you can still enjoy making the easy to prepare choco fudge shake at home.
