Generika Giving Filipinos Easy Access to Affordable Healthcare

Generika Drugstore opened in May 2004 and over the years consistently provided service above and beyond than just simply selling affordable medicines. I have to admit, I’m one of the many people that do not know that Generika is more than just a vendor of affordable medicines. They regularly offer free on site consultation and affordable medical tests that cost a fraction of what they would cost even at government hospitals at their drugstores.

This year, Generika once again go a step further. They now have the latest feature – the Generika MedPadala, a service that can improve the lives of many Filipinos. The MedPadala, the first electronic gift check, was developed so that family bread winners, abroad and in the urban areas, can now allot and save a portion of their hard-earned money specifically for medicines for maintenance or for emergency need. Now, there’s no need to worry that money for medicines and medical supplies will be used where it is intended for and not on others things.

Medpadala EGC has no expiration, can be consumed in multiple transactions and amount, and can be instantly redeemed at any Generika branch. For overseas workers, there is no shipping fee or remittance charge so beneficiaries get the whole amount as purchased. Discounts for senior citizens are also accepted when using MedPadala.

There just 3 easy steps inorder to avail of the MedPadala:

Step 1: Buy. Get the MedPadala EGC, any Generika Drugstore branch, LBC outlets and VMobile Members nationwide or online at http://www.medpadala.com.ph. MedPadala is paperless and the buyer will receive the confirmation immediately on your email upon purchase.

Step 2: Send. There is no need to ship or send a physical gift certificate via traditional mail. You can send the MedPadala EGC, with the Code and Pin, to the beneficiary thru email or SMS.

Step 3: Use. Present the MEDPadala Code at any Generika Drugstore branch nationwide for purchase. Generika staff will just ask for the Code and will instruct the buyer to key in the Pin during transaction. There is no minimum purchase required.

The MedPadala Pin and password can be passed around to multiple users for as long as the balance remains on the Pin, it can be used for be used for purchases. The buyer can track the usage of the EGC as long as he registers online. He can monitor how much was used, how much is the outstanding balance and which outlet tit was redeemed.

MedPadala can only be used to purchase generic and branded medicines, medical supplies, and related items. Certain items like diapers, beverages, beauty products or telco loads are not covered. This is to ensure that the amount sent is not diverted into purchasing non-medicines.
