The Must-Have Dry Bag

I received this dry bag a couple of years ago as a gift. It was one of the items on my wishlist and was so glad that a friend was able to buy one online. The dry bag has many uses that’s why it’s one of the things I make sure to bring when traveling. The one I have is Hyper Gear brand. It has a removable sling suspension that gives you the option to carry or fasten the dry bag.

Hyper Gear Dry Bag Review

Here are some of the uses of a dry bag:

For Gear, Gadgets or Electronics

While traveling under wet weather conditions, it will keep smart phones or cameras dry during an island-hopping trip and protect them from getting drenched in the rain.

Clothes

Dry bags are weather-resistant so they can be used while engaging in water sports like boating, kayaking fishing, or rafting.

I usually bring this bag when we go play at BGC fountain! No more problem on getting extra clothes soaked and who will watch over our things. We also used this bag when we need to bring home wet clothes or towels after a swim.

Food Items

The bag is great for storing food and drinks so there’s no need to worry on spills. I used this bag with a small insulator bag inside to carry bottles of breast milk with a reusable ice pack when when I was still expressing.

Life-saving device

When folded tightly with air inside, the dry bag can float for a certain period of time. It can be used as a life-saver in case of your boat capsized.

The dry bags are to be filled and folded in a correct way to make sure it’s properly sealed. To properly fold the dry bag:

1. Purge excess air from dry bag.
2. Put items inside the bag. Do not fill more than 3/4 full.
3. Fold, not roll, the black band a minimum of 3 times.
4. Snap the buckles together to create a tight seal.

Now, I’m looking at getting smaller water-proof pouches for other items like passport, or handy electronic gadgets so there’s an option for me to bring a smaller bag. I hope that this time there are of these products sold locally.
