I first saw washi tapes from my friend Liza, who is fond of collecting and using them for her crafts. She will browse online for colorful patterns and ideas on where to use tapes. These colorful washi tapes are sold online and in some bazaars but I did’t get the chance to  get them.

A few months back, my sis-in-law gave me two rolls.  And since we have tin cans, I decided to jazz one up with these tapes. I did not wrap the entire can with tape as I would like to still see the silver can. Now it’s not the same boring silver tin can.  It has been transformed into a colorful craft holder!

We have more tin cans here. May be I should get more washi tape patterns to dress them into lovely canisters.  Searching the net, there are more fun ways to use washi tape. I’m now thinking of new projects, not just the cans, that I can give out as gifts and I’m excited!
